Every game in Pragmatic Play’s Dog House series has a free-play demo: the same reels, the same maths model, and play credit instead of a balance that costs anything. Most casinos let you load it straight from the game’s lobby tile without registering, though some operators still ask for a free account even for play money. Below is what’s worth testing in each of the nine, from the original’s 3×3 reveal to The Big Dog House’s colossal wild.

The Dog House
Load the original’s demo for the series’ foundational mechanic with no later additions: a wild on reels 2 to 4 adding its multiplier to whatever lands on the payline, up to 9x, and a 3×3 grid pick that sets your free-spins count. There’s no buy button here to test. Full details in the Dog House review.

The Dog House Megaways
Run this demo twice: once choosing Sticky Wilds, once Raining Wilds, to watch the two bonus shapes play out with nothing at stake. Also check how the ways counter changes as reels show two to seven symbols, and the buy menu’s 100x price. Our dedicated Megaways demo page goes further into this one alone; the full review covers the rest.

The Dog House Multihold
Run Multihold’s demo until a second grid actually opens — that’s the moment the mechanic makes sense in a way a paytable can’t explain. Land three scatters for Grid 1, then watch a further three open a second grid alongside it, with any sticky wild from the first staying put. Full breakdown in the Multihold review.

The Dog House Dice Show
So little about this title is confirmed that the demo is genuinely the best source going: watch the golden-dice scatters trigger the bonus on reels 1, 3 and 5, and see how many free spins you’re awarded, since no range is published. It plays like the 2019 original with a dice motif over the top — our Dice Show review explains why it isn’t the live game its name suggests.

The Dog House – Muttley Crew
Muttley Crew’s cluster pays are easier to grasp by watching than reading: note how a win forms as a cluster in one corner of the 5×5 grid instead of a straight line, and test the treasure-chest wild’s 2x-to-10x range against the three buy tiers — 100x, 250x and 500x. Full detail in the Muttley Crew review.

The Dog House – Royal Hunt
See the “Super” buy option’s effect on the wild here without paying to unlock it: compare a standard round’s 2x/3x wild against the boosted 10x/20x version. The 3×3 free-spins reveal works exactly as it does in the 2019 original, just in hunting-lodge dress. More in the Royal Hunt review.

The Dog House – Dog or Alive
Test this one for the instant payout: watch the safes land on reels 1, 3 and 5, which credits 5x your total bet straight away, separate from whatever the bonus round pays afterwards. From there, watch sticky sheriff-badge wilds build towards the 3, 6 and 9 retrigger milestones that each double the existing multipliers. Full mechanics in the Dog or Alive review.

The Big Dog House
This is the series’ most experimental wild system, worth testing before real money is involved: watch for the colossal wild filling a 3×3 block, and what happens when a Ghost Wild lands — it carries its own 2x–3x multiplier, but it can also strip a sticky wild you’ve already banked. Full review: The Big Dog House.

The Dog House Megaways 1000
This demo is the easiest way to grasp a multiplicative wild in practice: watch for a wild multiplier landing anywhere near the confirmed 1,000x ceiling, and notice multiple wild multipliers on the same win multiply together instead of adding up as they do in the 2019 original. Switching the Ante Bet on and off shows the trigger-chance difference at no cost. Full picture in the Megaways 1000 review.

Two Dog House games you won’t find in this library
The Dog House Mansion Megaways and The Dog House – No Dog Left Behind aren’t included above, and they won’t appear here later either: both are Stake-exclusive builds, not titles Pragmatic Play has placed in its public free-play library, which is what every demo on this page draws from. We won’t pretend otherwise or point you toward a demo that doesn’t exist for either one.
The closest free equivalents are the standard siblings both are built from. The Dog House Megaways demo runs the same up-to-117,649-ways engine and choice-of-mode free spins as Mansion Megaways, minus the higher RTP and the multiplying wild rule. The Dog House – Dog or Alive demo shares No Dog Left Behind’s Wild West setting, instant safe payout and 3/6/9 retrigger milestones, at a lower RTP. Neither substitute matches the exclusive’s own numbers, but both show the mechanics for nothing.
Demo vs real money
The demo runs the same maths model as the real-money version — same RTP figures, same volatility, same mechanics — with one obvious difference: nothing a demo pays out can be withdrawn, since there’s no real balance behind it. The RTP version running in a demo may also differ from the one a casino loads for real money, because Pragmatic Play supplies two or three of them per game and the operator decides. Our RTP guide lists every version we could confirm; check the info screen in the demo and again once you’re playing for stakes. Once you’ve compared a few, our where-to-play page covers what to look for in a casino lobby, and the series hub has every review in one place.
Free spins offer
Every demo above costs nothing, however long you spend on it. The offer below is the nearest thing to a free run at real money instead.
100 free spins on The Dog House, no deposit. VAVADA currently credits new players with 100 free spins on The Dog House after registration — no deposit and no promo code needed details and conditions are on our offer page. Winnings from the spins carry wagering conditions; read them before you play. Offers change without notice, and availability depends on your country. 18+.
FAQ
Is the Dog House demo free to play?
Yes, every title in the series has a free-play version with no cost and no real money involved at any point.
Do I need to register to play the demo?
Usually not — some casinos load it straight from the lobby, others ask for a quick sign-up even for play money.
Does the demo pay out real money?
No. Demo wins are play-money credits only; there’s no balance to withdraw, whatever the screen shows during a session.
Is the RTP the same in the demo as the real game?
The maths model is identical, but the specific RTP version loaded may differ from your chosen casino’s real-stakes version — check the info screen in both.
Which Dog House demo should you try first?
The 2019 original for the mechanic in its simplest form, or Megaways for the choice-of-mode structure most later titles build on.
